Cyber Risk Aware, a cyber security training platform provider

for Microsoft Azure, has partnered with BUI, a provider of identity and security solutions, and Southern Africa’s largest Microsoft Azure partner.

The partnership will offer clients a ‘track and train’ platform for their cyber security needs.

According to Cyber Risk Aware, in times of high uncertainty with employees working remotely, there is a demand in SA for ‘real-time’ cyber security solutions. The company’s training platform that offers education, human cyber risk assessment and phishing simulation solutions will now be available via its partnership with BUI.

Stephen Burke, CEO and co-founder of Cyber Risk Aware, says much like the COVID-19 pandemic, cyber security risks know no boundaries, but businesses are still not putting basic cyber security practices in place, despite numerous data breach headlines day after day.

The rise of remote working through the current global pandemic has heightened the surge of cyber security-related risks, making employees even more vulnerable to cyber threats., Burke adds.

With over 90% of data breaches occurring through human error, lack of staff security awareness training can pove costly and it is imperative businesses take this seriously, he adds.

“Even with this knowledge, there is still a massive lack of security awareness training within businesses. Research reveals that 75% of employees working from home have received no help from their employers in terms of security awareness, guidance or training for example. Sadly statistics such as these are not in isolation.”

He says Cyber Risk Aware’s partnership with BUI offers a collaborative solution to help businesses defend against cyber crime.

BUI’s marketing manager Handre van der Merwe, says BUI is looking forward to the partnership and to offering this new service to its customers.

Being fully integrated

with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Sentinel, Cyber Risk Aware and BUI can help businesses ‘track and train’ employees with real-time intervention training, identifying where employees are making mistakes and sending the necessary training material to help improve their behaviours, he ends.
